I’ve emerged from my 4 day editing haze to introduce you to Katie!!

Isn’t she just awesome? She’s another one of my #2016rbmodels and #reneebowenSEEN models. I had so much fun shooting this girl, just more proof that being a senior portrait photographer in Los Angeles is THE BOMB!!

This Saugus High School 2016 senior was a dream to photograph.
Katie is super easy to shoot and is always willing to jump in for extra mini sessions whenever I need her!!

We started Katie’s session in a beautiful natural setting near Malibu.
Her wardrobe was perfect for her petite, athletic frame – could you ever have guess she’s a swimmer!

I told you her wardrobe rocked. Katie looks stunning in this red Brandy Melville dress.

I had a great time hanging out with Katie and her mom … and of course Jami,
the world’s greatest diva HMUA, did a fabulous job with Katie’s hair!

We eventually hit the beach…and the awesomeness just kept on happening!!
I loved that Katie chose to wear her mom’s dress – from the 90s – way to rock the retro look, Katie!!!

 Some of my favorite shots from Katie’s session are these I got of her running on the beach! I like to make my seniors run…it helps everyone relax and have fun!! We definitely get a workout during my sessions!!

I absolutely love shooting on the beach!!
I don’t think I know anyone who doesn’t love squishing their toes in the sand and running in and out of the waves.

Katie has THE cutest car –  a baby blue VW bug!! I couldn’t resist getting a few shots of her with her sweet ride because any Los Angeles Senior Portraits session would not be complete without getting some beachy sunset shots!
The sun was starting to set, so I pulled out my Wescott ice lights and kept right on shooting!!

OK, let’s talk about something that’s kinda related but TOTALLY different!! The We Are the Seen model contest submissions are going in this week. For those of you who don’t know, this is a really big deal!  My level TWO (SEEN Level) models get automatic entrance into the contest, as well as some of my other clients, as part of their sessions.  In the past, this was called the Senior’s Ignite Model Contest and I’ve had three winners for the past three years – the winners win a trip to model for photographers and a modeling portfolio as well!   It’s sooooo much fun – in fact, a few of the CURRENT #the12 will be flying out to Seattle next week to model for our Mastermind Intensive – so they also get the opportunity to participate in other shoots that we put on!  I’m super excited to see if any of my girls gets a spot this year – a chance to be one of the second group of #the12 models!!  The winners will be announced soon, so I’ll keep you all posted!

 I’ve got a secret…I MIGHT be hosting a contest soon. This is something I NEVER do, but – what the heck – one deserving senior will win a FREE (yes, free) high senior portrait experience.
